Hey gang...we're coming back atcha with another update right on the heels of our last one to include a MAJOR shout-out for another KS project that is...[cough, cough]...near and dear to our black little hearts!
GRENDEL: THE GAME OF CRIME AND MAYHEM is now live, here on Kickstarter!
This latest incredible offering from the critically acclaimed Off The Page Games is a remarkable addition to their lines of board games based on Indy comics, including MIND MGMT, CORPS OF DISCOVERY and HARROW COUNTY!
GRENDEL creator, Matt Wagner...um, had this to say about the project;

Hey gang...time for a brief update!
By now, all of you who ordered some of our various t-shirts (and a hat!) should've received your products.
We here at Orlok Press were very happy with how these turned out and send our sincere thanks to all of our backers who are now repping their fave vampire epic in proper style!
Next up...the limited signed and numbered print from BOOK II--THE BRIDES! Featuring a classic depiction of the vampire lord DRACULA at his most terrifying, in full-on predator mode!
These gorgeous 18x24" prints are reproduced using the ultra-quality Giclee method and--WOW!--are they beautiful! They paper is thick and lustrous and the ink is dense and creamy. These are truly a high-end addition to any art appreciator's collection.
The run is being printed now and, after being signed by both Kelley and myself, should be making their way to you within a month or so.
If you missed out on claiming one of these beauties, there are still some limited copies available and you can secure a copy at Backerkit preorder store.
As previously related, BOOK II--THE BRIDES is currently at the printers and is right on schedule to arrive in your mailboxes in early Fall. Just in time for the launch of our campaign for BOOK III!
Speaking of which...Kelley is hard at work translating my script for this next chapter in our DRACULA saga into his typically amazing visuals! We both feel that BOOK III was the most challenging volume so far and Mr. Jones is, once again, bringing his illustrative A-game to this volume. You're all gonna be amazed at the story we bring you in this one!

BOOK II signature plates...and more!

Hey, gang…we’re coming at you with another update to give you a sneak peek at some more sinister art from the always fabulous Kelley Jones!
This is the sample of the signature page, tip-in plate that’s included in the limited, signed & number editions of DRACULA: BOOK II—THE BRIDES!
And a little taste of some behind-the-scenes trivia…in a twisted bit of inspiration, we based the design of this page on the Girl Scouts of America logo! I don’t think you should expect to buy any cookies from these gals, though!
There are still some limited copies of this edition, as well as various merch and more, available via the Backerkit pre-order store, or if you already backed the campaign, you can add the items through your survey.
Some of you were also lucky enough to snatch up the ultra-limited edition, which featured a gorgeous original remarque by Kelley. These editions were limited to 50 copies and sold out quickly…but here’s a peek at one of the sketch/remarques from Kelley’s haunting brush and ink! There are a half dozen or so different designs and each one is a unique and original portrait of the vampire lord by Kell, rendered right on the signature page!
Hopefully, we’ll be offering other such opportunities for some original art by Kelley with the launch of the KS campaign for our third volume…later this year and, once again, just in time for Halloween!
Lastly, Kelley also managed to drag himself out of his Transylvanian castle to provide the cover art for an all new graphic novel that is currently available here on Kickstarter!

The Host Mortem graphic novel is now on Kickstarter and, again, features an amazing cover by Kelley Jones!!
Kevin Shinick used to have all the answers. Before he was an acclaimed comic writer on titles like W.E.B. of Spider-Man and The Flash, before he was an Emmy Award-winning writer on Robot Chicken, before he was a bestselling novelist (Star Wars: Force Collector), before he was an Annie award-winning producer (MAD), Kevin Shinick had all the answers — as the TV gameshow host of Where In Time Is Carmen Sandiego? Now Shinick is writing Host Mortem, an all-new tongue-in-cheek, time travel metafiction mystery in which he appears (as himself!), along with Greg Lee (the host of Where In The World Is Carmen Sandiego?). When the two former gameshow hosts are transported to the year 1947 by a time portal at Comic-Con, they find themselves enmeshed in a murder mystery involving Humphrey Bogart’s legendary noir film The Big Sleep. When one of the stars winds up dead, Kevin and Greg’s knowledge of random trivia might be the key to solving this Hollywood caper. BOOK II—THE BRIDES...off to the printers! And a tease at a new cover by Kelley

Hey gang…time for another exciting update to say that DRACULA: BOOK II—THE BRIDES has completed production and been sent off to the printers!
This puts us right on schedule to have these volumes in your hands in the same time-frame as BOOK I. And just in time for you to read our next spine-tingling chapter in the secret history of DRACULA before the KS campaign for BOOK III kicks off, same as always, throughout the month of October, culminating around Halloween!
Kelley Jones and I are thrilled with how this volume has turned out and couldn’t be prouder of the results. In fact, I got a text from him the other day, just after we’d received the final proofs for the interior story and art that read, “Wow! THE BRIDES looks SO DAMN good!” And I couldn’t agree more. This book brings you the untold tales of Dracula’s three diabolical consorts and unveils not only their characters but also the vampire lord’s motivations in claiming them as part of his harem. It’s spooky, sexy and significant…a vital part of Dracula’s long and sinister legend.
So far, we’ve had terrific responses from a large percentage of you in regards to the Backerkit surveys for this book. As a reminder, these ultra-brief surveys are our only way of obtaining access to your mailing address and then fulfilling your orders. So, if you haven’t yet replied to the emails that’ve shown up on your mailboxes…these ARE NOT simply annoying, meta-style marketing tools—they’re a crucial step in us being able to send you your books and merchandise! I urge you to please complete the surveys so that we can provide you what you paid for in a timely manner!
Speaking of which, even though BOOK II has only just begun the final leg of its journey to printed fruition, both the digital and print versions of DRACULA: BOOK 1—THE IMPALER are now available for those of you who only added these options for the first time during this campaign. As such, these volumes will be mailed and/or made available to you in the next few weeks!
Additionally, for any of you who made the stylish choice to pick up any of the various merch from our DRACULA series of graphic novels—t-shirts and a hat!—these will also be printed and shipped out to you soon. You’ll be able to represent our version of the infamous vampire lord and his blood-sucking brides leading up to the actual release of the book itself!
Note: T-shirts and Book I's will arrive in separate shipments.
Once again, Kelley and I want to express our deepest and sincerest thanks to all of you who have shown your support for this project. The creative mojo we both feel for our DRACULA series is through the freakin’ roof and both seeing and hearing your enthusiastic responses to the material thus far are the best rewards of all!
